You can include any nonrefundable payments in your trip cost. This can include your camp fees, nonrefundable
airline tickets, prepaid hotel fees. Any money you will lose in the case of a cancellation. If your family
has one vacation cost for a travel package you can divide your total number of family members by your total
vacation package cost.
When does a plan need to be purchased?
You can purchase anytime up until the day before your trip departure date, traveler must be healthy and able to travel on the day of enrollment. Note: See preexisting coverage exclusion below for specific time frame, and Cancel For Any Reason plans do have a specific time frame.
Can Preexisting conditions be covered?
Yes. The programs do exclude coverage for medical conditions for which the insured received medical treatment
or advice, took prescribed drugs or medicine, or for which treatment was recommended during the 60 days
immediately preceding and including the insured's effective date, unless the condition is controlled through
the taking of prescription drugs or medication and remains controlled through the 60 day period.
NOTE: The preexisting condition exclusion is waived if coverage is purchased with 14 days of the initial trip deposit.
When does coverage begin and end?
Coverage for the trip cancellation benefit will take effect on the day following enrollment, provided you have
made a deposit for the trip. All other benefits will take effect on or after the departure date. All
coverage ends on the earliest of the end date specified on the policy or the date the insured arrives home.
Are there any exclusions or limitation?
Yes, you should review your certificate of insurance carefully for complete benefit description, including all
exclusions and limitations within your 10 day review period.
What constitutes a trip?
A trip is defined as at least an overnight stay greater than 120 miles from your home residence.
